Biladhuri

Born and educated in Baghdad, Biladhuri was a Treasury clerk who dealt with taxes, and this is probably where he developed his interest in the legal status of the lands captured by the Muslims. His most important work is the Book of the Conquests, composed in 869. It includes the names of places that were captured by the Muslims and details concerning the battles and biographical notices of those who took part in them.
